    全县水土流失面积为652.14平方公里，占总面积的36％（其中山丘区流失面积542.7平方公里）。解放以来，经过持续的封山造林，兴修水利，整地改土，建造梯田，使水土流失较为严重的地区自然面貌发生很大改观。文革期间，治理成效不大。80年代初开展小流域治理，到1990年底已治理水土流失面积247.98平方公里。1996年底，增加到362.7平方公里。
