    1950年1月，郯城县新华书店由江苏海州迁来县城，隶属县文教科领导，为全民所有制事业单位，位于县城南门口北旧城遗址（今县政府大院西南侧）。1971年下半年迁至现址团结路27号，有6间平房。1980年建成图书营业楼一座，面积1560平方米。1984年上半年改为全民所有制图书发行企业，规格为小型（一副）单位，1993年6月升格为小型（一正）单位，隶属于临沂市新华书店和郯城县委宣传部。1999年底有职工68人，固定资产250万元。
