    共产党和人民政府实行宗教信仰自由的政策。1966年后的“文化革命”中，宗教活动一度被迫停止，其余年间，宗教活动一直受到法律地保护。
    1984年以前，宗教事务工作由县政府办公室兼管，1984年12月，县人民政府设立民族宗教事务办公室，具体负责宗教事务工作。
