    1912年山东西路巡防营步兵统领方致祥部马兵、步兵40人驻高唐。
    1917-1918年北洋政府军山东省地方部队18团分防临清、高唐等地。
    1926年张宗昌部程国瑞来高唐，收编地方地主武装李长兴部，委其为第2团团长。
