    清末民初，对度量衡器的监督、检定由地方商会负责。1931年（民国20年），县成立度量衡检定分所。1933年（民国22年），县度量衡检定人员裁撤，度量衡检定事务划归县政府第四科办理。建国后，县计量检定工作先后由临清中心计量检定所和聊城专区计量检定所负责。1976年9月，县标准计量所成立，隶属县科委。1981年，县组建标准计量局。1984年改称县标准计量所，设计量股、标准化股。
