    县内机械工业始于1946年。晋冀鲁豫边区军工部在小郭寨、连寨一带建立兵工厂，生产炮弹等军用品。建国后，县内机械工业主要是农机具修理和小农具制造。发展方向主要是农业机械，其他机械工业很少，而且多数没有形成批量生产。但县内也有些先进产品，甚至高、精、尖技术产品。
