    1949年后，农、林、水、医各类学校毕业生逐步形成各条战线技术骨干，至1962年10月底，全县拥有技术人员182人，其中农林30人、水利3人、农机2人、卫生147人。1978年，全县从事科技工作技术人员370人，其中工程技术36人，农业技术132人，卫生技术202人（主治医师16人，医师、医士186人）。1980年，进行技术职称考核和评定，至1985年，有技术职称专业人员552名，其中农艺师12人，工程师12人，主治医师18人；助理工程师60人，助理农艺师32人，助理医师95人；工业技术员59人，农业技术员69人，医士195人。
