    1919年，民国县政府设立地方财政管理处，负责稽核财政事宜。1940年，县抗日民主政府成立后，财政科设审计员。1949年1月，华北军区颁发“暂行审计规程”，明确各级审计机构的职能、作用及审计人员的职权范围。建国后，在财政、税务、银行等部门设立审计员。1952年12月，改称监察员。1979年财政局设立监察股，负责财务监督工作。1984年5月，县人民政府设立审计局。1985年，有干部职工6人。
