    建国前，城区街道两旁以及居民门前、院内多栽槐、榆、杨、椿、枣等树。河边多植杨、柳。建国初，街道两旁多以植杨、槐和梧桐。1984年，实施总体规化后，先后在建设路、莘亭路、政府街、新大街等主要街道植树2860余株；新大街路中设置花栏2700余米、花池1300米；单位和住宅庭院多植花木。1987年，城区内绿地面积2252亩，覆盖率30%。
