    莘县位于北纬35°48′～36°25′、东经115°20′～115°43′地处鲁西平原，聊城地区西南端，黄河北岸，冀、鲁、豫三省交界点；北邻冠县，东北接聊城，东与阳谷以金线河为界，南隔金堤河与河南省范县相连，西部和西南部分别与河北省大名县、河南省南乐、清丰、濮阳县毗邻；全境东西宽32公里，南北长68公里，面积1387.74平方公里，合208.16万亩，分别占山东省总面积的0.9%、聊城地区总面积的16%。
