    1980年，县油棉二厂（地址在安乐镇东）修配车间扩建为县棉麻机械厂，时有职工120人。1981年，共生产液压榨油机315台，打包机20台，踩箱机31台，对辊机180台，实现产值45万元，利税3.9万元。
    1982年，县棉麻机械厂研制的FLD-78型离心式籽棉分离器分别获国家商业部科技成果三等奖和省供销合作总社科技成果二等奖。
    1987年，县棉麻机械厂计有职工130人，主要生产设备有4米龙门刨、2米龙门刨、20加长空气锤各1台，牛头刨、铣床、车床各2台，钻床3台，固定资产原值39.8万元，净值25.3万元。年产打包机11台，压条机13台，22型对辊2台，总产值45万元，实现利税2.4万元。
