    1950年1月～1990年底，临清市人民法院共受理刑事案件8983件。1950年1月～1966年12月共受理6432件。“文化大革命”期间，法院机构一度被取消，许多刑事案件不能依法处理。1966年12月～1976年10月，审理案件为706件。1976年11月～1979年12月为166件。1980年1月1日起，公布《刑法》、《刑事诉讼法》，坚持以事实为依据，以法律为准绳，依法办案，至1990年底，依法审理各类刑事案件1679件。
