    境内地质构造属新华夏第二沉降带临清凹陷区，西为临西凸起，东南为冠县凹陷。西有沧东断裂，东南有冠县断裂构造，两个断裂，一个凸起，一个凹陷，呈西南、东北向排列。依次为古生界、中生界、新生界地层。
    地貌为黄河冲击平原特征，地势平坦而有较小起伏，呈岗、坡、洼微地貌。
