    1944年，临清县建立出口棉花检疫所，检查出口日本的棉花。1945年由工商管理局负责对外贸易。1946年3月，晋冀鲁豫边区人民政府在临清设华茂货栈，经营棉花及纺织品出口，同年在临清设立纺织实业社。1949年春，建立中国花纱布公司临清分公司。是年9月，建立华北粮食公司临清分公司，兼营棉纺类出口业务。1984年撤销临清对外贸易公司，1988年6月11日恢复对外贸易公司。
