    1949年春，冀南行署在城区大义街建东光烟厂。当时境内有私营烟厂70多家。1946年9月，冀南行署的义和烟厂从河北大名迁入临清，先后与东光、六聚、裕丰、一元等烟厂合并为临清卷烟厂。
    50年代主要产品为乙级香烟，80年代生产甲级、乙级、乙二级、丁级卷烟，长、短过滤嘴香烟。1986年生产甲级长烟型光岳楼香烟、乙级混合型美佳等香烟。1987年生产香烟9.8万箱，完成产值2256万元。1990年生产香烟8.3万箱，产值423.4万元。
