    绿肥作物，本县引种的品种有田青、茎麻、包叶苕子、沙打旺、紫穗槐等。1982年种植面积达2.24万亩，是本县种植面积最多的一年。由于人口增多，土地减少，绿肥作物受到限制，1985年种植面积减少到0.3万亩，比1982年减少1.94万亩，下降了86%。
    苜蓿不仅是牲口的好饲草，而且是肥田的好作物，多年生，耐瘠薄，耐盐碱，适应性强，对土壤要求不严格，是本县传统的绿肥作物。
