    1950年，糖坊区五里庙村（现属临邑镇辖）共产党员刘万美因反对包办婚姻和公婆、丈夫虐待而离婚，后经人介绍，与县政府财政科的张月亮建立了恋爱关系。再婚前，她向政府和男方提出了五个条件：一、准我开会；二、准我进步；三、准我参加党的生活；四、准我对自己的问题自己做主；五、不准买卖婚姻，结婚仪式要简单。其正当要求当即受到了政府的鼓励与支持，并在《渤海日报》上撰文予以表扬。
