    常见的棋类有象棋、围棋、陆战棋、跳棋及三棋、四棋、五棋、占北京、赶牛角等。其中象棋活动历史悠久，遍及城乡；围棋、陆战棋、跳棋为新兴棋类，多见于机关学校。其他棋类形式简单、走法多样，于地面划道为棋盘，拈土块、石子、草棒为棋子，常见于田间地头，以解劳累疲乏。除象棋外，其他棋类本县均未举行正式比赛。我县象棋高手有耿庆茂、鲁绪厚、俞誉林、胡世让、潘兴甲、郑洪树等。
