    1980年，在县城北环路北侧建体育场，设篮球场2个，其中灯光球场1个；乒乓球室1个（45平方米）;400米跑道的简易田径赛场1个；总面积为48000平方米。1980年以前，县运动会多在师范体育场举行，1980年以后都在县体育场举行。1985年，全县有田径场地7个，其中400米跑道1个；有篮球场199个，其中教育系统44个，县直机关32个，农村球场72个；电业局、食品公司、酒厂、五金厂设灯光球场。有排球场6上，其中教育系统5个，县直机关1个。
