    县内太平、张寨、沙河、赵家、李家、宿安、临邑7乡镇地下藏有石油。据1981年《临盘油田地质总结》载：自上而下分4大油藏类型，8套含油层系，油层面积28.72平方公里，地质储量4735.94万吨。天然气类型为伴生气，含气面积1.96平方公里，地质储量2.73亿立方米。1973年投入开发，至1985年，日产油量1700吨，平均单井日产油量9.6吨，最高单井日产量80吨。
