    临邑境内，历史上，沿河流仅建有砖、石旋涵洞20座；砖、石、土、木结构桥梁23座，年久失修，日渐残缺，不适今用。
    解放后，随河道治理和引黄灌区的开发，沿其干、支流兴修排、灌配套工程，至1985年，共建有桥、涵、闸、渡槽等1320座，其中桥梁998座，涵洞200座，水闸114座，渡槽8座。县内用水基本实现了引得进，排得出，蓄得住，用得上。
