    武城县土地资源丰富，质地较好，土地面积1126713亩。其中耕地面积1949年为912453亩，人均4.08亩。1958年大跃进，工业盲目发展和农田挖沟，1959年使耕地减至700468亩。1969年增至710776亩，1979年又降至656374亩。
    1985年末武城县总耕地面积654720亩，人均2.14亩，比1949年人均下降1.94亩。
