    武城县的主要自然灾害有旱、涝、风、雹、霜冻和地震，从1840年至1985年共出现127次，约计十年九灾。以旱、涝灾害居多，占71.65%。原因是地势平缓，排水不畅，潜水位高，容易泥淹，雨量年际变化悬殊，时空分布不均，所以时常发生洪、涝、旱灾，使农作物和人民生命财产遭受很大损失。
