    夏津县成年人身体素质未作过普查，具体情况不详。1975年至1985年间，曾多次对中、小学学生进行过身体检查。总的看少年身体素质情况发育是好的。城内居民自1974年开始食用高氟自来水后，氟中毒逐年加重。据体检情况看，长期居住城内饮用自来水的青少年学生中有40%以上牙齿有氟中毒现象（牙根发黄）。主要危害4至10岁儿童，对成年人则无大害。
