    据第三次人口普查统计，1982年7月1日前，全县各社镇不在业人口共有43579人。其中在校学生7595人，家务劳动者26536人，待业分配者17人，市镇待业者68人，退职、离退休干部职工2056人，其他不在业者6789人。不在业人口中，尚有少部分身体好、有专长的退离休职工仍在工作，继续发挥余热。
