    据1983年林业普查统计，全县林业用地大部分分布在三条沙河和部分盐碱荒弃地范围内，面积为15.77万亩，占土地总面积的12.06%。其中有林地面积5.25万亩，占林业用地面积的33.27%；无林地9.36万亩，占59.33%；幼林地203亩，占0.13%；灌木林182亩，占0.12%；苗圃922亩，占0.58%；非林业用地中的林网、林粮（棉）间作，村旁、宅旁、路旁、沟旁等“四旁”复盖折合面积为3.82万亩。林木总复盖面积为9.08万亩，复盖率6.95%。
