    1978年8月建立业余体校。1985年有校长1名，文化教员13名，教练员2名，学员70名。设有田径、排球二项。各科教师由教育局调配（工资和人事关系属教育局），学员从各中小学选调。属教育局、体委双重领导。
    建校以来向省输送人材2名，向地区体育中学输送学员15名。田径队和射击队的10余名学员多次代表地区出席省运动会，射击队成绩曾列第六名，有两人被省批准为二级运动员。
