    咸丰四年（1854年），太平天国军李开芳部由平原曲陆店渡河，经恩县去高唐。
    同治二年（1863年），宋景诗、张怀玉先后率部入境作战。
    同治七年（1868年），捻军大将张宗禹率部5000余人，进驻二十里铺、鸣鸡店、杨柳寺等地，在城周围10余里安营。清军刘清山、陈国瑞率军在恩县境内沿河修筑河墙，堵截捻军，双方在此相持数月。
