    1952年开始行使监所检察职权，并由专职或兼职人员负责这项工作。1978年县检察院重建后，设监所检察股负责监所检察，依法对监狱、看守所羁压和释放人犯、执行刑事判决和裁定、管理教育和改造人犯实行监督；受理监狱、看守所侦查终结后移送的案件，以及人犯及其家属向人民检察院提出的申诉。1978年至1985年，对监所进行检察220余次，促使监所依法办事；县检察院还及时处理了人犯的申诉，杜绝了重大事故的发生。
