    平原县按气候条件和土壤生态环境属落叶阔叶林带，由于“喜山”造山运动和耕作历史悠久，天然植被除阔叶、走茎的多年生禾本科高草、蓼科、毛莨科草甸外，其它基本消失。现大部分为林木和农作物组成的人工植被。林木覆盖率为7.1%，农作物覆盖率为65.53%。
