    建国以前，本县仅有为数很少的秤店及游乡串村的秤担“星”秤（制造木杆秤）。
    建国后，除个体“星”秤户外，在“文化大革命”期间，县木器厂（木业社）曾生产过台秤、木杆秤。1978年，县铸锅厂生产过台秤，2年后停产。1982～1984年，县铝制品厂生产木杆秤砣。1985年，本县只有7家个体户生产木杆秤，并兼营木杆秤的维修。
