    七十年代以前，马颊河、相家河沿岸村庄有少数人农闲时从事捕捞，有小木船10余只，鱼具只有鱼钗、撒网、虾笼等，年捕捞量在几千公斤。七十年代后，随着水域面积的扩大，从事捕捞、养殖的人数有所增加。据1984年统计，全县主要从事捕捞的劳力291人，从事养殖的劳力683人，有捕捞船17只，拉网2858米、刺网23380米、撒网941张，年捕捞量9万多公斤。
