    1866年，英国基督教传教士殷森德，在朱寨子教堂建学校1所。次年，所有教会都办起男女学校。至1906年2月建教会中学1所，男女小学各11所。学校开设国文、算术、常识、历史、地理、圣经等课程。办学经费由英国教友捐助。与此同时，德国和美国天主教传教士，先后在吴北斗建立教堂，办起男女教会小学各1班。这些学校于1937年“七七事变”前先后停办。
