    审查批捕，是对公安机关侦察的案件进行审查，决定是否逮捕。根据中发（1979）45号文件精神，准捕权下放到县，对公安机关要求批准逮捕的一般案件，均由检察机关直接审查决定，不再报请党委批准。县检察院自1979年8月1日行使该职权，至1985年底，共批捕393人。
    审查起诉，是对公安机关移送的起诉案件进行审查，决定起诉的案件向人民法院提起公诉。县检察院自1955年至1985年底，共起诉1,617人。
