    钱庄亦称银号，始于明朝。1731年（清雍正九年），钱庄开始发行银票、汇票。1908年（光绪三十四年）颁发《银行通行则例》后，钱庄盛行。至1936年全县有钱庄38家，城内13家。钱庄分专营、兼营、独资、合资。兼营主要是大商号兼营存、放钱业务。各家利息不一，年息有为3分，高达5分，但名目繁多，剥削甚重，1937年后，日军侵略，钱庄相继倒闭。
