    建国前，本市主要有缝纫、木器加工等行业。建国后，造纸、印刷、玻璃制品、工艺美术、煤炭加工等行业迅速兴起，成为工业经济的骨干行业。到1990年，全市乡及乡以上造纸、缝纫及其它工业共有85处，年工业总产值21836万元，利税3126万元，分别占全市工业总产值和利税总额的13.5%和14.89%。
