    县内历史记载虫灾颇多，主要为蝗虫(蚂蚱）和粘虫（虸蝗）。肆虐之时，树叶、禾草食尽，人鬻子女，饿殍枕道。建国后虫灾主要为蝗虫、粘虫、蚜虫和棉铃虫等，危害严重导致减产2-4成甚至绝产。虫灾年年发生，且有多种虫灾并发、反复发生趋势。80年代以后，农药大量应用，危害日趋减轻。
