    邹平风俗醇厚，民性憨直，重稼穑，喜文学，尚情谊，崇节俭，向有救危济困，尊老爱幼，邻里相助之良习。
    本卷所录，多为历史陈迹。诸如拜庙祷神，祈雨打醮，迎神还愿等迷信活动，现已基本绝迹。建国后，早婚陋习得以根除。岁时风俗，虽仍沿行，但多改变内容。新的公历节日，已为群众接受，有渐代旧俗之势。80年代后，经济日渐繁荣，生活水平提高，迎亲嫁娶，攀比斗奢之风又盛。历史恶习，尚多承传，故一并录出，为移风易俗提供借鉴。
