1988年，商业、饮食服务业计3076处，从业人员6270人，完成产值2259万元。1992年后，商业、饮食服务业进入新的发展时期，专业户、重点户大量涌现，各类商业批发网点、贸易货栈、代销点、代营点、综合商店、旅馆、饭店、理发店、照相馆遍布乡村。1995年，商业、餐饮服务业发展到3617处，从业人员1.05万人，完成产值1.94亿元。2007年，全县商业、住宿及餐饮等服务业从业人员55426人，完成产值7.41亿元。
