    清乾隆二十四年《武定府志》记载，有两条驿道途经县境。一条起自沾化县治所
前，经石家庄、皮店(解放后划归阳信)、流钟口、跨徒骇河，达于滨州治所；一条起
自阳信县治所，经新王店(王生坞)、五龙堂，通往沾化县治所。担负着传递官府文书
和运输军用民需物资的任务。
