    1998年按照省交通厅计划和地区公路局安排，先后完成了如下公路改建工程：（1)永莘路滨州利津交界至滨城段，于1998年2月开工，拓宽路段长13.6公里，路基宽由7.5米加宽为12.15米，路面宽由5.5米加宽为10米，拓宽改建后，由四级路升为二级路，1998年11月20日竣工通车。（2)广育路小营至滨州髙青交界，于1998年3月开工，拓宽路段长8.8公里，路基宽由7.5米加宽为14.15米，路面宽由6米加宽为12米，拓宽改建后，由四级路升为二级路，1998年11月10日竣工通车。
