    1990年底以前，该厂生产主要依赖建厂初期的国产老设备，生产效率低、产品档次低。为了扩大生产能力，提高产品档次，分别利用企业自筹资金，银行信贷和外国政府贷款，先后从德国、日本、西班牙等国家引进了具有国际先进水平的针织园机18台，染整主机3台套，淘汰了建厂初期的部分老设备。使产品档次由原来的低档产品提高为中高档产品，生产能力由原来年产500万件，提高到年产1000万件。
