    清代及民国初期，民间武馆、拳房所需费用多以募捐形式凑集或从学艺人员中摊敛。
    1931年滨县民众教育馆增设健康部，曾拨509.91元建体育场，置运动器械，但无明细体育经费款项。
    新中国建立后，1954年到1957年间，年均拨经费600元左右。1958年各项工作都在搞“大跃进”，为建北镇体育场，拨经费42960元。1961年后体育经费降至年700元左右。到1965年又增至2468元。1967—1969年“文化大革命”正处狂潮，体育工作混乱，年拨经费不足1000元。1969年只有239元。1978年中共十一届三中全会后，随着对体育工作的加强，历年经费都有所增加。1978年28000元，到1990年已达81361元。
