    1854年（清咸丰四年），海州盐民陈玉标率盐民义军入莒，曾驻朱陈店、良店、汀水、马鬐山西等地，后被安东卫参将郝上庠打败离莒。
    1861年（清咸丰十一年），捻军首领李成率众入莒，先后攻掠城里、沙沟民寨、砚台山民寨、马鬐山民寨。
    1867年（清同治六年），捻军首领赖文光、任柱率众入莒，清将僧格林沁率军追剿。莒城南一战，捻军分两路离莒。
