    1981年5月29-6月3日，政协莒县首届委员会第一次会议在县城召开，政协莒县委员会成立，下设办公室。1986年3月，增设文史资料科、组织联络科、学习宣传科。1991年3月，撤销上述3个科，重新设立了提案工作委员会办公室、社会工作委员会办公室、文史资料工作委员会办公室、经济科技工作委员会办公室、学习文教卫生工作委员会办公室。同时增设乡、镇政协工作办公室。
