    全县低平洼地大都分布于莒城周围的城阳、陵阳、浮来山、阎庄、刘家官庄、峤山、招贤、店子集、墩头等乡镇的平原地带，为冲积物土属，面积46.25平方公里，占县内平原面积的9％，占全县总面积的2.3％。土壤为水稻土，地表为轻壤和中壤土，底部多为粘土，地下水比较丰富，埋深1-2米。1963年稻改后，这部分土地大都成为莒县主要稻作区。
