  莒县地图（1948年）

    莒地历史悠久，商属姑幕国，周属莒国，秦始为县。后为郡、为州、为县，屡有升降，县境多有变动。从1959年稳定至今。县境位于山东省东南部，日照市西部。北纬35°19′-36°02′，东经118°35′-119°06′。西界沂水、沂南；东邻东港区、五莲县；北接诸城、安丘；南毗莒南。全境南北最大长距75.6公里，东西最大宽距37.4公里。
