       2005年6月12日，泊于镇遭遇雪冻雨和冰雹袭击，受灾果园533公顷、小麦267公顷、玉米67公顷，经济损失1500万元。
       2005年12月3～12日，境内出现暴雪天气，最大累计积雪深度达到80厘米，造成交通停运，数万群众徒步上班，学校两次停课。坍塌各类大棚2362个，民房73间，死亡家禽13300只，直接经济损失5000余万元。12月8日凌晨4时，位于崮山镇的韩国独资企业威海大峻金属制品有限公司因雪灾发生4500平方米车间屋顶垮塌事故，造成职工1人死亡、3人重伤、多人轻伤。
