       1994年12月，设立经区政策法制处司法行政科。1999年7月，司法行政科增挂经区法律援助中心牌子。2006年6月，法律援助中心更名为法律服务中心，履行法律服务的相关职能。
       1994年6月，设立经区公证处，正科级自收自支事业单位。2001年5月公证处不再按事业单位管理，2004年9月恢复事业性质。2007年6月，经区公证处更名为山东省威海市世纪公证处。
