       2001年，设立经区政府采购办公室，负责政府采购工作。至2003年，主要对办公用品、车辆及园林苗木进行采购，完成采购预算2922万元，节约资金278万元，节支率9.5%。2004～2005年，服务（信息系统开发、中介、保险、金融服务等）和建筑工程装饰材料纳入政府采购范围，完成采购预算2.68亿元，节支5968万元，节支率22.3%。2006年，不再对建筑工程装饰材料进行政府采购，当年完成采购预算1489万元，节约资金342万元，节支率23%。2010年，依照《中华人民共和国政府采购法》，实施政府采购“管采分离”改革，政府采购办公室更名为政府采购监督管理办公室，负责政府采购的监督、管理工作，政府采购由社会中介机构组织实施，当年完成采购预算3204万元，节约资金397万元，节支率12.4%。
